About Us

Green Scene Thrift is a non-profit thrift store located in Erie, PA.

Green Scene Thrift started as an idea of a way to promote and educate what the founder, Nicole Gladitz, is passionate about: recycling, reusing, saving money, the environment, and her love of our city. She envisioned a local thrift store that viewed donated items for their reuse value instead of their resale value, and worked to keep as many reusable and recyclable items out of the landfill as possible.

Our mission is to raise funds for programs and initiatives in Erie County that make recycling, reusing, and environmental projects more affordable and accessible for residents by selling gently used clothing, furniture, and household goods. We strive to educate about reuse and re-purpose in our community to allow residents to make the most eco-friendly choice when donating and disposing of their items.

The vision for Green Scene Thrift is to offer our community a place they can donate their used goods, knowing that every step will be taken to make sure their donations are reused or re-distributed and kept local, offering a transparent process so that donors are confident in their decision to donate to us. What we are unable to sell or use, we pass along to other non-profits who can, so we can all benefit.​
